Cardinals are iconic winter birds, and this project gives kids a chance to explore color, texture, creativity, and fine-motor skills without any Santa, religious or holiday themes.

I created a printable cardinal outline where the bird is fully drawn like a coloring page, but with missing wings and tail feathers. Young artists get to “finish” the bird using coloring tools, craft feathers, tissue paper, or cut-paper shapes.
