Free Printable “Long” Sight Word Worksheets for Kindergarten & First Grade

5 Free "long" sight word worksheets printable bundle overview image showing all 5 printable pages for the sight word long

The sight word “long” is an important early reading word that helps children describe size, length, and physical features. These free printable “long” sight word worksheets give kids meaningful practice recognizing, reading, tracing, and using the word long through simple, hands-on learning activities.

Children see long often in everyday language and early readers, such as: “long tail,” “long road,” “long hair,” and many beginner books. Because long helps describe how things look or feel, learning it early supports comprehension and descriptive language skills.

As a mom of four (with one child currently learning sight words), I know how helpful it is when kids can clearly describe what they see in pictures and stories. I design these worksheets to be encouraging, approachable, and easy to use at home or in the classroom.

All of these “Long” worksheets are completely free, easy to print, and flexible enough for classroom use, homeschooling, or quick literacy practice at home.

Each download is shared as a single click-and-print, with no sign-up required.
