The sight word “these” is an important early plural demonstrative word that helps kids describe groups of objects, animals, or people. These free printable “these” sight word worksheets give young learners engaging, hands-on practice with reading, tracing, writing, and recognizing the word these in fun and meaningful ways.
Kids encounter the word these in phrases like: “These are my shoes,” “Look at these bugs,” “Do you want these snacks?” Learning to read and use these correctly strengthens comprehension and helps children understand plural nouns in context.
As a mom of four (with one currently in 1st grade!), I know how big this stage of learning feels, kids are suddenly expected to jump from single words to longer phrases, and sight word fluency makes a huge difference. My goal is always to create resources that make learning feel simple, friendly, and affordable, whether you’re teaching at home or in a classroom.
All worksheets on this page are free to print individually – no email or log-in required.
