Toddler Letters – “P” is for “Pom Pom”

Letter P Craft - Toddler/Preshooler letter of the week craft P is for Pom Pom with related craft, tracing sheets and fruits/vegetables.

Supplies Needed:

Colored Craft Paper
Letter “P” Cutout
Elmer’s Glue
Scissors
Colored Pom Poms
Markers

Set Up:

We stared by adding glue to our letter “P”. I let my son add his own glue and he was very careful to trace his P, then he grabbed handfuls of Pom Poms to cover his glue. Since we were running out of Pom Poms by the time was son was done I ended up being a little more conservative and just doing dots of glue where I wanted Pom Poms added. If you want to control or limit the amount of Pom Poms being used I would suggest going the glue dot route and letting your child add one Pom Pom per glue dot. We let our glue dry then shook our P a little to dislodge any loose Pom Poms before gluing our P down to our craft paper.

We finished by talking about different things that are circle. (Balls, cups, clocks, apples, pizza, wheels, etc.)

Toddler Letters – “O” is for “Open”

Letter O Craft - Toddler/Preshooler letter of the week craft O is for Open with related craft, tracing sheets and fruits/vegetables.

Supplies Needed:

2 Pieces of Colored Craft Paper
Letter “O” Cutout
Glue Stick
Scissors
Markers

Set Up:

We started with a cut out letter “O” then I showed my son how to trace the inside of the “O” on another craft paper. I cut out the inner “O” leaving a tab on the left side then my son helped me glue the tab to the “O” creating a door. Then we glued the “O” to our craft paper being careful not to glue our door closed in the process. When we were finished we colored inside our door so that we could open it and see our drawing or close it and hide them.

We finished by talking about why some things have doors. Our fridge has a door to keep the cold air in so that our food stays good, our oven has a door so that we can cook food in it without making the whole house hot, our cupboards have doors to hide things in so we don’t have to see them, etc.

Toddler Letters – “N” is for “Noodle”

Letter N Craft - Toddler/Preshooler letter of the week craft N is for Noodle with related craft, tracing sheets and fruits/vegetables.

Supplies Needed:

Colored Craft Paper
Letter “N” Cutout
Elmer’s Glue
Noodles (one variety or many)
Markers

Toddler/Preshooler letter of the week craft N is for Noodle with related craft, tracing sheets and fruits/vegetables.

Set Up:

We started by covering our “N” with a thin layer of glue, I let my son help with the glue. Then we added a bunch of noodles to it. I attempted a pattern while my son was more than happy to just take handfuls of pasta and drop them across his “N” letting them land where they may. We let our “N” dry then gently turned them over to dislodge any loose noodles before gluing our “N” to our full sized craft paper.

When we finished we talked about what some of our favorite foods were.

Toddler Letters – “M” is for “Monster”

Letter M Craft - Toddler/Preshooler letter of the week craft M is for Monster with related craft, tracing sheets and fruits/vegetables.

Supplies Needed:

Colored Craft Paper
Letter “M” Cutout
Elmer’s Glue
Scissors
Goggly Eyes
Pipe Cleaners
Pom Poms
Feathers
Markers

Toddler/Preshooler letter of the week craft M is for Monster with related craft, tracing sheets and fruits/vegetables.

Set Up:

I cut out our “M” ahead of time, then we sat down at the craft table and covered our M’s in a small layer of glue. Then we went wild gluing whatever we wanted to our letter. When my son was finished layering craft supplies on his M I did another small layer of glue to make sure everything would stay down, then we let them dry before gluing them to our full sheet of paper.

Preschooler Letters – “L” is for “Leaf” Craft

Letter L Craft - Toddler/Preshooler letter of the week craft L is for Leaf with related craft, tracing sheets and fruits/vegetables.

Supplies Needed:

Colored Craft Paper
Letter “L” Cutout
Glue
Markers
Plastic Wrap

Toddler/Preshooler letter of the week craft L is for Leaf with related craft, tracing sheets and fruits/vegetables.

Set Up:

We started this craft by going outside and picking up a bunch of colorful fall leaves from the ground, which was a lot of fun in and of itself. Then we took our gathered leaves and glued them down to our letter “L”. When we had glued down all of our leaves we put a small piece of plastic over the top of our letter and put a book on top of that so that our leaves would be glued flat to our “L” (the plastic was so we wouldn’t get glue all over our books). When the glue was dry we glued our “L” down to our craft paper.

We finished by talking about different seasons and how some trees change during different times of the year.
